The Halifax Harbour slips narrowly between Halifax and Dartmouth and opens into a huge basin called the Bedford Basin. The community of Bedford sits at the end of this basin, looking down the harbour towards downtown. Real estate here tends to be more expensive and there are both newer homes that have been built in this area as well as older homes.
